Rugs

Rugs in wool, jute, viscose and hard-wearing synthetics, hand-woven and hand-tufted as well as machine-made, in plain, geometric, abstract and boho designs.

Start with the size. In a living room the front legs of the sofa should sit on the rug, which usually means 200 x 290cm behind a three-seater and 160 x 230cm behind a two. Then the fibre: wool is warm, hard-wearing and the most forgiving underfoot; jute brings texture and suits a hallway; polypropylene and polyester take the most traffic and clean the most easily.
