Stoves 4–5kW

Stoves from 4kW up to just under 5kW — the right size for a snug, a small living room or a well-insulated space of roughly 55 to 70m³.

Small does not mean underpowered. In a modern or recently insulated room, a 4kW stove will run comfortably where an older house would need more, and it will do it without you having to throttle it back. Running a stove slow to avoid overheating is what blackens the glass and tars the flue, so sizing down is usually the safer error.

What size stove do I need?

Measure the room and we will point you at the right output band. The rule of thumb is roughly 1kW for every 14m³ — a well-insulated room needs less, an old draughty one more.
