Care & maintenance
Before you clean or refuel
Let the flame go out completely and allow the burner to cool. The burner, the fuel box and any surrounding glass get hot in use, so never touch, clean or refuel them while lit or still warm.
Everyday
Wipe the stainless steel with a soft, dry cloth once cool. Clean glass only when cold, using a non-abrasive cleaner applied to the cloth rather than to the glass.
Fuel
Use liquid bioethanol only — never gel, alcohol-based substitutes or any other fuel. Wipe up any spill before lighting, and store fuel away from the fireplace.
Manual first
Clearances, room-size minimums and refuelling steps differ by model. The manual supplied with your unit is the authority on all of them.

Warranty & delivery
3 Year manufacturer warranty. It is valid because this fireplace is bought from an authorised dealer — we administer it and are your first point of contact.
On delivery day the carrier calls ahead to book an appointment and places the crate at the kerb with a liftgate. Please inspect it before you sign. Any damage to the crate or the unit must be noted on the delivery receipt — that note is what lets us put it right at no cost to you.

Is it a real flame?
Yes. Bio Flame burners and fireboxes burn liquid bioethanol and produce a real, open flame — not a light effect. That is the appeal, and it is also why the safety guidance in the manual matters: never leave the flame unattended, keep combustibles clear, and never refuel while the burner is lit or still hot.
Do I need a chimney, flue or gas line?
No. These are ventless: bioethanol burns cleanly to heat, water vapour and carbon dioxide, so there is no chimney, flue or gas connection. The room still needs normal ventilation, and the manual sets out minimum room sizes for each model — check it against your space before you order.
Will it actually heat the room?
Yes, it gives real warmth. Heat output depends on burner size and is listed in BTU on each product. Think of it as supplemental heat and a focal point rather than a replacement for central heating.
What fuel does it use, and is it included?
Liquid bioethanol fuel, sold separately. Fuel is not included and we do not supply it.
How does delivery work?
Delivered free to residential addresses in the contiguous United States (the lower 48 and DC). We cannot ship Bio Flame units outside that area.
In-stock units arrive in 2–3 weeks. Built-to-order units arrive in 8–9 weeks. Each unit ships direct from The Bio Flame. Please inspect it before you sign for it — transit damage must be noted on the delivery receipt.
What is the warranty, and who do I call?
Three years, from The Bio Flame. You contact us, not the manufacturer — as an authorised Bio Flame dealer we take it up with them on your behalf.
Is it certified?
Yes. Bio Flame units are CE approved and certified to EN 16647, the European standard for decorative ethanol fireplaces, and are third-party tested.
