Amantii Symmetry XT 88" Linear Electric Fireplace — Built-In Recessed Flush Mount, Indoor/Outdoor
Description
A long, tall line of fire down the wall, and nothing else to look at. No visible vents, no grilles, no black box — the room gets the warmth and the movement, and the hardware disappears into the plaster.
It runs on electricity alone, so there is no flue, no gas line and no building permit — Amantii build these vent-free and list them to ETL or CSA, and the front glass stays cool to the touch. The heater and the flame work independently, so the fire can run all year with the warmth switched off.
- 88.25″ wide, 20.12″ tall. Frame the opening at 88¼" W × 20⅛" H × 11¾" D and it finishes flush. Send us your measurements and we will check them before you order.
- Up to 5,000 BTU, rated to around 500 sq ft. Enough to genuinely warm the room you are sitting in, and it switches off independently of the flame for summer.
- Wi-Fi and app control. Set the flame and the heat from your phone, or have it on before you walk in.
- Ambient canopy lighting. Lights the media bed in your choice of colour, so the fire has a mood even before the flame is up.
- Changeable flame colour. Warm orange for winter, cooler tones for summer — one fireplace, several moods.
- Programmable timer and thermostat. Set the room temperature and let it hold there, rather than riding the remote.
- Rated for indoor or outdoor installation. Covered terraces and outdoor rooms included — outdoors it must use the stainless cover for the warranty to stand.
- In the box: finishing surround, single remote for flame, canopy lighting and heater. Ready to install — no separate media order needed to get it running.
- 2 Year Amantii warranty, and you deal with us. We are an authorised dealer with a direct line to their technical team, so you never chase a manufacturer's helpline.
- Leaves our US warehouse in 3-5 business days. Then it travels by freight on a pallet, with a tail-lift and a booked delivery window.
Who it is for. Someone after a clean architectural line of fire in a living room or a commercial space. At 155 lb it is a fixed installation, not something you move around.
Why buy it. A real fire needs a flue, a fuel store and a sweep. A gas fire needs a line and a certificate. This needs a socket. You get the movement and the warmth of a hearth in a room that was never built for one, and you can put it where a chimney could never go — including a covered terrace, since this model is rated for outdoor use.
How it works. LEDs light a moving flame effect behind a stencil that sets the flame's shape, over a media bed of glass or logs you choose. A separate fan heater handles the warmth. Amantii ask for a 15 amp, 120V, 60Hz earthed circuit at the installation point and recommend a dedicated one. It arrives on a pallet by freight, and the media travels separately by courier.
Care & maintenance
Everyday
Switch the fireplace off at the wall before cleaning anything. Dust the surround with a dry microfibre cloth. The front glass stays cool in use, so it can be wiped whenever it needs it — use a cloth lightly dampened with an alcohol-free, ammonia-free cleaner, sprayed onto the cloth and never onto the glass or into the firebox.
The media bed
Logs, glass and ember media lift out. Take them out to clean, wipe with a dry cloth and let them dry completely before putting them back. Never run the fireplace with the media tray wet.
Bulbs
Amantii treat the bulbs as a consumable rather than a warranty part. They are standard 40W candelabra bulbs with roughly a two-year life, sold in any home centre — chosen deliberately so you are never waiting on a proprietary component.
Installed outdoors
On the models rated for outdoor use, the stainless steel cover must be fitted when the fireplace is not in use. Amantii require proof of purchase of that cover for any warranty claim, so keep the receipt with your order paperwork.
If anything sounds or looks wrong, tell us before taking anything apart — opening the unit yourself can void the warranty, and most issues are settled with a part.

Additional media kits are available separately.
Add media & accessories
Swap the look of the flame with a different log set, ember bed or glass colour. These are genuine Amantii parts made for this firebox. They ship by courier, separately from the fireplace itself, so they usually arrive on a different day.
Not sure which suits your firebox? Ask us and we will check it against your model before you order.
Does it fit?
Measure your rough opening before ordering. Send us the numbers and we will check the fit with you before you buy.

How freight delivery works
-
STEP 1We book itYour order leaves our US warehouse on a pallet. The carrier is given your details.
-
STEP 2They call youThe carrier phones to arrange a delivery appointment that suits you. Nothing arrives unannounced.
-
STEP 3Kerbside with a liftgateThe truck lowers the crate to the kerb. The driver is not able to bring it inside or up steps.
-
STEP 4Inspect before you signCheck the crate and the unit. Note any damage on the delivery receipt — that note is what lets us replace it at no cost to you.
Warranty & delivery
2 Year manufacturer warranty. It is valid because this fireplace is bought from an authorised dealer — we administer it and are your first point of contact.
On delivery day the carrier calls ahead to book an appointment and places the crate at the kerb with a liftgate. Please inspect it before you sign. Any damage to the crate or the unit must be noted on the delivery receipt — that note is what lets us put it right at no cost to you.
Questions people ask before they buy
We are an authorised Amantii dealer, so these answers come from the people who build these fireplaces — and from us, who deliver and stand behind them.
Will this actually heat my room, or is it just for looks?
It genuinely heats — and we would rather set the expectation properly than sell you a surprise. Think supplemental warmth for the room you are sitting in, not a replacement for your central heating.
Amantii rates the heater at 1,500W on a standard 120V supply — roughly 5,100 BTU — for a room of about 400 sq ft, or 15–20 feet across. Those are the manufacturer's own published figures, not our marketing. It will take the chill off a lounge or a bedroom beautifully. It will not heat a house, and Amantii do not claim it will.
The flame runs independently of the heat, so most owners keep it on year round with the heater off. Amantii put that at around US$0.02 an hour for the flame alone and US$0.07 an hour with the heater running; your actual cost follows your own electricity tariff.
Some models are also offered in a hardwired 240V version that puts out considerably more heat. Tell us the room and we will tell you whether the model you are looking at has that option.
Do I need an electrician? Does it need a chimney or a vent?
No chimney, no flue, no vent, no gas line and no building permit. There is no combustion and no open flame — Amantii build these to ETL and CSA listing, and the front glass stays cool to the touch.
Amantii's engineers specify a 15 amp, 120V, 60Hz earthed branch circuit at the installation point, and recommend a dedicated circuit so the heater is not sharing a breaker with other appliances. It plugs into an ordinary earthed socket. Never run it from an extension lead or a power strip — that one is firm, and it comes from the manufacturer.
So if there is already a suitable socket where the unit is going, no electrician is needed. If you need a new outlet inside the wall cavity, or you want the hardwired installation on the models that support it, that part is a job for a qualified electrician.
Not sure what you have got? Send us a photo of the opening and the nearest socket. We are an authorised Amantii dealer, so if the answer is not in the manual we can put the question to their technical team and come back to you.
How does delivery work, and what if it turns up damaged?
Amantii build and palletise the unit; we book the freight and stay with it until it reaches you. These are far too large for a parcel courier, so they travel on a pallet by road freight.
The carrier telephones you to book a delivery window and brings a tail-lift to lower the pallet to the ground. Delivery is kerbside — the driver will not carry it indoors, upstairs or into a room, so arrange a second pair of hands for the day. The unit typically leaves the warehouse in 3–5 business days, then spends about 5–6 days in transit.
Please inspect it before you sign. Walk around the pallet, look for crushed corners, punctures or shifted wrapping, and photograph anything that looks wrong. If you see damage, write it on the driver's delivery note before signing — that note is what makes a claim stick.
If it arrives damaged, tell us within 7 days and we will put it right with a replacement or a refund. Chasing the freight carrier is our job, not yours, and Amantii back us on the replacement. You only ever deal with us.
Can I return it if I simply change my mind?
Yes — you have 30 days from delivery to ask for a return, and there is no restocking fee. The unit needs to be unused and back in its original packaging, so please do not break the carton down until it is installed and tested.
Because it travels on a pallet, return shipping on a change of mind is the customer's cost — freight both ways on something this size is not trivial, so talk to us first. Send us your opening measurements before you order and we will tell you straight whether it fits. We would far rather spend ten minutes on that than put you through a return.
Damage is different, and faster. If the fireplace arrives damaged, tell us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We arrange a replacement or a full refund and we cover the return shipping — that one is on us, and we chase the carrier ourselves. The seven days matter because that is the window the freight carrier gives us to file, so the sooner you tell us, the stronger the claim.
What is the warranty, and who do I actually call?
You call us. Always. As an authorised Amantii dealer we have a direct line into their technical team, so you never have to chase a manufacturer's helpline or explain your problem twice. You tell us what the fireplace is doing; we take it to Amantii and come back to you with the part, the fix or the replacement.
Amantii cover the fireplace for two years from purchase against manufacturing and material defects, and five years on Bespoke models, which use upgraded internal components. That covers parts; labour is not included.
Worth knowing up front: light bulbs are a consumable and sit outside the warranty. They are standard 40W candelabra bulbs with roughly a two-year life, available at any home centre — Amantii chose an off-the-shelf bulb deliberately so you are never waiting on a proprietary part. Some glass is also excluded, and a Panorama unit installed outdoors must use the stainless steel cover, with proof of purchase of that cover required for a claim. If you are going outdoors, tell us and we will make sure the cover is on your order.
Will the flame look real, or will it look cheap?
This is the question we are asked most, and the honest answer is that a still photograph cannot settle it — the effect lives in the movement. Watch the video on this page rather than judging from the images.
What actually drives how it looks, and all of it is designed in deliberately:
- The stencil. Your fireplace arrives with a flame stencil fitted, which gives the flame its defined shape. Take it out and the flame turns softer and more diffused. Amantii build both looks into every unit; switching takes a minute.
- The media. Clear glass, a log set, birch or driftwood change the character of the fire completely, and you can add a different set at any time.
- Bespoke models use brighter LEDs for a crisper flame pattern, add colour options in the media area, and include a crackling sound you can switch on or off from the remote or the app.
Want a second opinion before you commit? Tell us the room and what it needs to do. We will give you a straight answer, including "not this one" if that is the honest one.
Something not covered here? Message us before you order. If it is a question only Amantii can answer, we will ask them and come back to you.
