Stoves 8kW & Over

High-output stoves from 8kW to 12kW, for large rooms, open-plan ground floors and anywhere with a tall ceiling or a lot of glass.

Above 5kW output, building regulations require a dedicated air supply to the room — usually an air brick or a direct-air kit — so factor that into the installation. These stoves are also heavier, most over 100kg, and arrive on a pallet to a kerbside. If you are between this band and 5–8kW, measure the whole connected space rather than one room.

What size stove do I need?

Measure the room and we will point you at the right output band. The rule of thumb is roughly 1kW for every 14m³ — a well-insulated room needs less, an old draughty one more.
