A deep shaggy pile
Long, loose fibres you sink into — the kind of rug that gets sat on rather than walked across.
100% Polyester · Hand Woven · Shaggy · 75 mm pile · Made in India
85 mm total height — too thick for most internal doors. Keep it clear of door swings.
Asiatic recommend an anti-slip underlay for this rug — it stops the rug creeping on hard floors, takes the wear instead of the pile, and is softer underfoot.
The ultimate shaggy rug, in quality and colour choice. Plush is part of our cosy textures and is always a practical indulgent choice to inject warmth in a home.
Free delivery on every order. Estimated total delivery time is 7–10 business days — 1–2 business days to process, then 6–8 business days in transit. Orders placed after 5:00 PM are processed the next business day.
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. Return shipping is at your cost unless the item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect — in which case we cover it. If anything arrives damaged, send us a photo within 7 days and we will replace it or refund you in full.
Please use a suction only vacuum cleaner as a beater-bar vacuum cleaner could damage the pile. Do not spill liquids as this will damage the pile. Never rub a spill, only blot with a clean white cotton cloth. If a stain cannot be removed seek specialist advice. Do not machine wash. We recommend the use of an anti-slip pad to reduce trip hazards and protect the floor surface. To protect the colours, keep away from direct sunlight. Keep away from fire.
Guidelines only — always refer to the care label attached to your rug.
The furniture sets the scale, not the room. Pick the piece the rug has to work with and match it — a well-placed smaller rug still does the job.
What size for a 3-seater sofa? 160 × 230 cm puts the front legs on the pile. 200 × 290 cm brings the whole sofa on. Match the sofa, not the room.
How far from the wall? 20–30 cm of bare floor in a small room, 40–50 cm in a larger one. Don't stretch it to the skirting.
Too big or too small? Too big, as long as a border of floor still shows. A rug that is too small makes the sofa and table look unrelated.
How much rug past the table? About 60 cm on every side. That is the pull-out clearance, so chair legs stay on the rug when someone stands up.
What size for a six-seater? 160 × 230 cm is the smallest that works, with chairs close to the edge. 200 × 290 cm is comfortable.
Which pile suits a dining room? A low pile or flatweave — chairs slide instead of catching.
What size under a king bed? A UK king is roughly 193 × 203 cm. 240 × 340 cm reaches past both bedside tables and looks finished.
And a double? 200 × 290 cm is modest but works. Aim for 40–60 cm of rug at the sides and foot so you land on it getting up.
Can I spend less? Yes — two runners either side of the bed do the same job.
How wide should a runner be? Around 66 cm is standard, leaving 10–20 cm of floor each side.
Where should it start? A little way in from the front door, clear of the door swing.
Will it slip? Not with an anti-slip underlay, which Asiatic recommend for most of their rugs.

Deep enough to sink your feet into. It won't clear most interior doors, so plan it for the middle of a room.

Made by hand on a loom, which is why no two rugs carry exactly the same texture.
